The two-way unloading device type EMD is a mobile device for unloading Vignol rails from public railway wagons. Of course it has a DB approval.

After the single track, the working train can be approached at a speed of approx. 5 km/h. Radio remote control of the lift table ensures that the bending lines are adhered to.

The EMD can be used for elevations up to max. 180 mm. Compared to other unloading technologies, the use of EMD is extremely economical. This means that approx. 5,000 metres of rail / shift can be unloaded at only 25% of the costs incurred by standard processes.
